The Engraving Process
Our crystal decanters are engraved using a computerized laser engraving process that permanently etches the surface of the crystal, creating a refined frosted white mark against the clear glass. Unlike traditional sandblasting, laser engraving does not cut deep grooves into the crystal. Instead, it lightly etches the surface with exceptional precision, allowing us to reproduce even the most intricate and highly detailed artwork with crisp, consistent results.
Engraving Color & Appearance
All personalized crystal decanters and glassware are laser engraved, not printed or color-filled. This engraving process creates a clean, frosted white mark with a subtle textured feel that contrasts beautifully against the clear crystal surface. Because laser engraving permanently etches the glass, color, shading, and gradient effects cannot be reproduced. For the best results, all artwork is rendered in a single-color line art or clipart format, ensuring crisp detail and long-lasting clarity.

Ordered my decanter, asked to make some changes after seeing the first preview, there was some back-and-forth and then the decanter was engraved and shipped. Whole thing between initial order and day of arrival took about four business days (order placed on Thursday, decanter shipped on Friday, arrived on Tuesday). Overall, very easy process that left me with no complaints.
