All customized decanters are engraved in house and most orders are ready to ship (from New York) in 1 to 3 business days. All our personalized crystal whiskey decanters and glasses are engraved in house and we are generally able to accommodate most engraving requests. Some of the most popular personalization options are:
1. Customizable Design Templates
View our selection of editable design templates, select a decanter and use our Online Designer tool to view and customize the design in real time on your screen. Once finished personalizing your design, add it to the cart to initiate checkout.
2. Logo Engraving
Upload your logo/artwork to engrave. Once received, a free digital proof will be provided for your review and approval before purchase. We are able to work with most artwork or logos provided either in an editable vector format (EPS, SVG, AI etc.) or as a good quality/high resolution raster image (PNG, JPG etc.).
3. Military Decanter Engraving
We are able to engrave most armed forces and military crests, logos, patches and insignias. Additional information such as name, rank, callsign, tour/retirement dates, etc. can be added to personalize most artwork at no additional cost. 4. Signature Engraving
Submit a photo or a scanned copy of the signature to engrave along with any additional text and instructions. Once received our graphics design team will digitize the signature in the photo and provide a complimentary digital proof for review and approval.

For text engraving, please us our Contact Form to submit your engraving request with any additional instructions. After your request is submitted, our design team will prepare and email you a digital proof for your review and approval. Our personalized decanters are laser engraved which creates a lightly textured, frosted white engraving mark against the clear crystal background. As opposed to sandblasting, this highly accurate method of engraving does not create a deep groove but lightly etches the surface of the crystal, allowing us to work with even the most intricate and highly detailed designs.

No. – Our decanters are laser engraved (rather than printed on or color filled) therefore we are unable to re-create different colors or gradients. The engraving mark will have a frosted white appearance against the clear crystal background. See a Sample Gallery for actual engraving results.
For best results, please provide your artwork either as a high-resolution raster image (such as JPG, PNG, or BMP) or in an editable vector format (AI, PDF, or EPS). Please note that depending on the file format and quality, an artwork setup fee (for digitizing the logo, removing colors and backgrounds for engraving) of $10-$15 may apply.
Absolutely!
Design Templates – Our customizable design templates can be personalized using our Online Designer tool so you’ll be able to see your edits on your screen in real time. When finished editing the selected design, you’ll be able to add the personalized decanter to your cart and complete checkout.
Logo / Signature Engraving – For logo engraving and signature engraving, after submitting your artwork via the engraving order form on the selected decanter’s product page, a complimentary digital proof will be prepared and emailed to you for your review and approval. If the proof looks looks good and you’re ready to move ahead with the order, you’ll be able to approve it online and complete checkout, or provide feedback if any changes or updates to the proof are needed.
Yes! – If needed we can add engraving to the back of the decanter and/or glasses. Please note that a secondary engraving fee of $30/$40 will apply if we are engraving the back of the decanters/glasses, respectively. Prices shown on the product listing pages already include custom engraving on the front.
Yes. – If needed, we can engrave different artwork on the decanter & glasses. Please note that an additional artwork setup fee of $15 per additional artwork will apply. Engraving a logo with text on the decanter but only the logo (without text) on the glasses can be accommodated at no extra charge.
After finishing the whiskey, rinse the decanter with warm water to prevent residue buildup.
2. Use gentle cleaning agents
Mix warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap and swirl it around gently inside the decanter. Avoid scrubbing the engraved area directly with abrasive materials. Never use bleach, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners.
3. Avoid dishwashers & harsh tools/chemicals
Never put your engraved decanter in a dishwasher as the high heat and harsh detergents can crack the crystal or dull the engraving.
4. For stubborn stains or cloudiness
Fill the decanter with a mixture of warm water and white vinegar (1:1) and let it sit for a few hours, then rinse thoroughly. Alternatively you can also drop in a few uncooked rice grains with warm soapy water and swirl it around for a few minutes. They act as gentle scrubbers for hard-to-reach areas.
For a spotless shine, rinse the decanter with distilled water (in case your tap water is hard) to avoid spots then air dry upside down on a drying rack.

Yes. – Estimated delivery is based on the Order Processing PLUS Shipping transit times.
1. Priority order processing is available for a fee of $35 and guarantees that order is shipped within 1 business day.
2. Standard ground shipping (see transit times) can be upgraded to a 2-Day Express or Overnight option during checkout.
The personalized decanters and glasses are packaged separately inside their respective, manufacturer provided white cardboard gift box with a black silk ribbon running around in the middle, held in place by gold Ravenscroft Crystal decals. We do not currently offer third party wooden boxes.
Make sure to inspect the contents of the package upon receipt. All shipping related damages must be reported via email (or****@***************ng.com) within 5 days of delivery. Claims initiated at a later date will not be honored.
To get the claim/replacement process started, please submit images showing:
1) the damaged item showing the engraving,
2) the shipping box & label along with any visible external damages, and
3) all internal packaging material (air pillows etc.) your order arrived in as attachments by replying to this email.
Damaged items and packaging must be kept for 7 days as the shipping carrier (UPS) may request to pick up the item for inspection as part of the claims process.
We do offer shipping to most countries via FedEx, UPS and the US Postal Service. Shipping transit times are approximately 3-6 business days depending on the destination.

DecanterEngraving.com is not responsible for unforeseen delays during shipping / customs processing for orders shipped to destinations outside the continental US.
Customs Duties & Taxes
Any additional duties or taxes assigned to the shipment during customs processing by local government officials are the responsibility of the recipient.
Non-Personalized / Blank Items
Non-personalized / blank items can be returned for a full refund within 60 days of the purchase date. To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned in new, unused condition along with all original packaging material it arrived in. To initiate a return, please email us with your return request to receive a return authorization number (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization (RMA) will not be processed.
Personalized / Engraved Items
We are unable accept returns for engraved / personalized items.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase and believe it is attributable to a manufacturing defect or an engraving error please contact us via email email within 5 business days of delivery of your order along with a description and images showing the issue so that a determination can be made whether a replacement item may be warranted.
We go to great lengths to ensure that our custom engraved decanters comes out looking the best they can. We cannot however, be responsible for certain circumstances that are beyond our control. Please note that it is our customer’s sole responsibility to carefully review all artwork (and any digital proof provided) for:
► Spelling, punctuation or grammatical errors, relative sizing, stylistic or layout issues
► Error(s) in artwork submitted by the customer / artwork used in the digital proof provided for approval (when working with custom logos)
► Error(s) in user-selected/approved options such as product type, artwork size or artwork positioning
If you are not satisfied with your purchase and believe it is attributable to an error during our engraving process (apart from the instances listed above) please contact us within 5 business days of receiving the item(s). If we determine that a refund is warranted, such refund will be issued for the amount of the original engraving cost applied to the item(s) in question.
We specialize in engraving most military logos, patches, insignias or crests provided to us by our customers. For best results, we recommend submitting artwork either in an editable vector format or as a high-resolution image.
Once the logo/artwork is submitted, our design team will digitize the logo to prepare it for engraving (remove colors & backgrounds) and provide a digital proof for review and approval.
Yes. We can accommodate adding additional text to the engraving such as name, rank, unit name, tour dates, years of service, retirement date, etc. The only limiting factor is the size of the available engravable area on the selected decanter. In most cases adding 1-2 lines of text underneath the military logo should be no problem.
Absolutely! A complimentary digital proof will be emailed to you within 1 business day of submitting your logo and instructions. You can review and approve the proof online or provide feedback for any changes needed before approval and production.
Yes. We can ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses via USPS Priority mail service (2-4 business days depending on the destination).
After the Order Form with the logo/artwork and any additional instructions is submitted, a complimentary pre-purchase digital proof will be prepared and provided via email within 1 business day for your review and approval along with payment instructions. You will be able to provide feedback if any changes to the proof are needed before approval.

We are able to work with most photos or scanned copies of a signature. Make sure to use a clear, good quality photo of the signature. For best results we recommend using a dark color ink on a plain white paper background. Use a signature with a thinner line/stroke as it is easier to adjust the line thickness of the signature upwards if needed for optimal engraving results during artwork setup.
NOTE: When digitizing the signature, our in house design team can remove unnecessary backgrounds/lines from the image however an additional artwork setup fee of $15 may apply if substantial cleanup of the signature is required.
Our custom whiskey decanters are laser engraved instead of printed. Because the design is etched directly into the crystal rather than color filled, we’re unable to reproduce different colors or gradients. The engraving results in a subtly textured, frosted white mark that contrasts beautifully against the clear crystal background.
