About Signature Engraving

After the order form with the logo(s) and any additional instructions is submitted, a digital proof will be prepared and provided via email within 1 business day for your review and approval along with payment instructions. 

NOE: There is no payment or order commitment required when submitting the order form. 

We are able to work with most good quality / in-focus photos or scanned copies of a signature. For best results we recommend using a dark color ink on a plain white paper background. We recommend using a signature with a thinner line/stroke as it is easier to adjust the thickness of the signature upwards if needed for optimal engraving results during artwork setup.

When digitizing the signature, our in house design team can remove unnecessary backgrounds/lines from the image however an additional artwork setup fee of $15 may apply if substantial cleanup of the signature is required.

Our decanter are laser engraved rather than printed on, therefore we are unable to re-create different colors or gradients. The engraving mark will have a frosted white mark against the clear crystal background. 

Pricing listed on our website includes setup fee for 1 artwork/logo. While we can certainly accommodate engraving different artwork on the decanter and glasses, a setup fee of $15 for each additional logo/artwork used will apply.

Pricing listed on our website includes engraving on one location (i.e. the front of the decanter / glasses). When engraving on the back (in addition to the front) the following secondary engraving fees will apply:

  • Back of Decanter: +$30
  • Back of Glasses (set of 4): +$45

The set combines the Waterford Hourglass decanter woith a set of 4 crystal double old fashioned glasses by Ravenscroft Crystal for a clean and contemporary look. Personalized engraving adds that special touch transforming a memorable gift into a treasured keepsake.

Engraving Process

We use a computerized laser engraving process that creates a permanent frosted white engraving mark against the clear crystal background. As opposed to sand blasting, this highly accurate method of engraving does not create a deep groove but lightly etches the surface of the crystal, allowing us to work with even the most intricate and highly detailed designs.

Artwork Color

Since our crystal products are engraved rather than printed or color filled, the engraving mark will have a uniform, frosted white appearance against the clear crystal background with a lightly textured feel to the touch. As such, we are unable to re-create different colors or gradients therefore all artwork will be represented in a single color clipart/lineart format.

Logo Engraving FAQ

After the order form with the logo(s) and any additional instructions is submitted, a digital proof will be prepared and provided via email within 1 business day for your review and approval along with payment instructions.

For best results we recommend submitting artwork and images in an editable vector format (.eps .ai .svg .cdr), however in most cases we can also work with good quality/high resolution raster images (.jpg .png .bmp).

All artwork will be digitized so that necessary changes (removing colors and backgrounds) can be made to prepare the artwork for engraving. 

When working with complex or low quality artwork that requires extensive cleanup/preparation, an artwork setup fee of $10 to $20 may apply.

Beautiful, premium quality crystal decanter and engraving! Unfortunately, the decanter arrived broken but after contacting the company they were able to issue a replacement decanter and have it shipped in one day.
